Mentor Training

required training before getting started!

Worthy Mentor Training contains 3 parts and takes about 15 minutes to complete.

In Part 1, we will walk you through better understanding all LGBTQ+ terminology with our partners at the SOGIE Center.
In Part 2, we will guide you in effectively communicating with your mentee with our partners at Jack.org and Born This Way Foundation.
In Part 3, we will discuss the Worthy Mentorship Expectations and how to get started!

Worthy Mentor Expectations

Please check each box to indicate your understanding and agreement.

Upon being matched with a mentee, I will review their background and the topics they want to discuss within the app.

I will utilize the app chat platform to introduce myself and thank them for trusting me in guiding their LGBTQ+ journey.

I will acknowledge and confirm the topics that my mentee wants to discuss with them.

I will let my mentee know of my availability to chat and will invite them to schedule meetings accordingly within the app.

I will utilize my own experiences and professional resources and crisis services within the app to best support my mentee.

I will abide by the Worthy Mentoring Community Guidelines and will reach out to help@worthymentoring.org if I need any assistance or have any concerns.
