Mentor Review Process

How do we evaluate Worthy Mentor Applications?

In order to create a safe and empowering platform, we require that our mentors complete an application process that includes a short questionnaire, social media verification, and a screening process powered by a third-party partner.

FIRST

The Worthy Team reviews each mentor application thoroughly and in accordance with the standards listed below. Application answers or Social Media profiles that showcase LGBTQ+ discrimination, hate speech, harassment, bullying, terrorism, or impersonation will warrant an immediate rejection of your mentor application.

SECOND

The Worthy Team reviews Worthy Mentor Background Screenings in the following manner:

Any single arrest or conviction of the following offenses will warrant an immediate rejection of your mentor application:

• Crimes against or involving Minors & Elderly

• Cyber Crimes 

• Harassment & Threats

• Lewd Behavior 

• Sexual Abuse (excluding Sodomy)

• Failure to Register as Sex Offender

• Identity Theft, Impersonation, or Forgery

• Attempted, Intentional, & Unintentional Homicide

• Terrorism 

• Arson

• Burglary & Robbery

• Petty Theft & Theft

• Abduction & Restraint

• Criminal Damage to Property

• Assault & Battery

• Violence in form of Fighting or Resisting Arrest

Three or more arrests or convictions of the following offenses within the past 7 years will warrant an immediate rejection of your mentor application:

• Crimes involving drugs

• Crimes involving alcohol
